Project management requires more than just technical expertise—it demands leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to connect with people. From my experience, I’ve learned that a human touch is often the key to success in the project business. Building trust, fostering collaboration, and maintaining clear communication are just as important as meeting deadlines and delivering results.
Over the years, I’ve honed my project management skills by optimizing processes, clarifying goals and contracts, designing work breakdown structures, estimating effort, implementing and monitoring quality management, planning resources, calculating costs, managing risks, and aligning deadlines with customer expectations. During my time at ITM Beratungsgesellschaft, these skills were instrumental in not only delivering successful projects but also securing follow-up business—an outcome that underscores the value of an excellent project manager.
At HCLSoftware, I’ve expanded my project management expertise by leading internal initiatives that drive innovation and impact. In 2024, for example, I successfully led two innovation sprints that resulted in impactful design solutions presented to senior leadership. My manager entrusted me with these initiatives based on my proven experience and ability to deliver results.
One of the biggest challenges I faced during these sprints was fostering collaboration within a team of designers from various departments. To address this, I implemented Scrum framework ceremonies to provide structure and clarity. By introducing familiar practices such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, I ensured that everyone understood their roles, stayed informed about progress, ask questions, and had the opportunity to showcase their work at the end of each sprint. This framework not only helped the team gain traction but also strengthened connections among team members.
My approach to project management combines technical expertise with empathy and adaptability. Whether it’s aligning cross-functional teams toward a common goal or managing stakeholder expectations, I focus on creating an environment where people can thrive while delivering exceptional results.
